Students and enthusiasts of Kenpo have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Martial Arts & Me offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.
American Kenpo Classes
Martial Arts & Me provides beginner and advanced American Kenpo classes for both children and adults. Although American Kenpo is the foundation for our curriculum. At Martials Arts & Me we have also incorperated many of the stylings and techniques from Shotokan and Aikido and have grafted them into our curriculum. In doing so we feel the we have been able to create a system that is extremely well rounded, effective, and easily learned by all. Martial Arts & Me offers our Tiny Tigers kids program that recognizes their efforts academically, and in the arts.

Kardio Kick-Boxing
Core & More, This class is taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. by Mary Hallett. This class offers one of the most intense and thorough cardio workouts found in our area. This class provides it's participants with a variety of routines that incorperate step aerobics, core training, pilates, stretching, boxing and Martial Arts fundamentals.

Moving Meditation
This class is very similar in nature to what one may find in a traditional Tai – Chi class. Moving Meditation taught by Joseph Pazzaglia a Martial Artist with over 25 year of experience this class offers a unique blend of the old with the new in a quiet and tranquil environment. Tai – Chi or moving meditation comes highly recommended for older adults, people in stressful occupations, or individuals with joint, muscle, or flexibility issues.
Moving Meditation can be used to: The intensity of tai chi varies somewhat depending on the form or style practiced or the individual’s abilities or inabilities. Some forms of tai chi are more fast-paced than others, for instance. However, most forms are gentle and suitable for everyone. And they all include rhythmic patterns of movement that are coordinated with breathing. Stress reduction and other benefits of tai chi Like other practices that bring mind and body together, tai chi can reduce stress. During tai chi, you focus on movement and breathing. This combination creates a state of relaxation and calm. Stress, anxiety and tension should melt away as you focus on the present, and the effects may last well after you stop your tai chi session. Tai chi is generally safe for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Older adults may especially find tai chi appealing because the movements are low impact and put minimal stress on muscles and joints. Tai chi may also be helpful if you have arthritis or are recovering from an injury. Moving Meditation can be used to: ? Reducing anxiety and depression ? Improving balance and coordination ? X-Treme Cardio
X-TREME CARDIO is thee most intense work out routine found in our area! X-TREME CARDIO is a combination of the old unorthodox methods of training combined with the new, pushing all participants to their max both mentally and physically. Conditioning and cultivating the mind and our bodies is what X-TREME CARDIO is all about! The NEW X-TREME CARDIO offers everything from the modern day Mixed Martial Arts fundamentals, Boxing drills, Focus pad drills, Heavy bag routines, to the more traditional training such as arm banging and body hardening, use of logs, twisting rods, partner drills, and much more!! With a Boot camp theme, X-TREME CARDIO is approximately one hour long consisting of 3 minute rounds of circuit training. You will not find another class like this one! Not only does X-TREME CARDIO provide you with a great work out, it has real street self defense application as well. Many of the techniques and principles taught in this class will provide participants with a basic foundation for self preservation in the street as well! Tired of the same old aerobic routines and workouts, not with X-TREME CARDIO! With X-TREME CARDIO we intentionally change our routines just for that reason.
